When you mouse over the ribbon it says “save article for later”. No more stars

click on your avatar, left hand column, bottom tab gives you your “saved” posts, instead of recommendations

So, ever since the save-for-later bookmark was introduced, I’ve been hesitant to click it because, well, I read articles when I open them. I sent an e-mail to the Kinja team reporting the bug (assuming it’s a bug that the ribbon is preventing the the star from displaying properly). In that e-mail I also asked where I can find posts saved for later.

Your post is the first one I’ve actually saved for later. Clicking the ribbon triggered a message that says “Save successful! View all saved articles on your profile page.”. Well, I guess that answers the question I sent the Kinja team.

Not really, though. Instead of giving me a list of articles saved for later, it just displays my recommendations, except that it doesn’t call them recommendations now. It calls them “saved articles”. And all the comments that I have recommended are being displayed as “saved articles”. That doesn’t make sense.

So I don’t regret e-mailing the Kinja team after all. In fact, I hope that they are getting flooded with e-mails about this. Because either this is indeed a bug, or it’s a change that should have been ANNOUNCED in order to avoid confusion.

Well I’m still seeing ribbons over here. Maybe they’re right in the middle of working on it. They seem to like changing things right in the middle of the day...
